The  CLOTNOT CLUB
is a program to bring awareness of bleeding disorders endured by many women.  It was created in cooperation with the Hemophilia Society to educate women who suffer from bleeding issues as ell as their doctors who often misdiagnose them.

STITCHES: A Doll Project.

This project was designed in July of 1999 for women living with HIV infection. STITCHES is the brain-child of Kathy Gerus-Darbison and her co-worker at that time, Candice Moench. Both these women are AIDS Educators and activists in the state of Michigan. This project was started to help women and girls infected with HIV by combining art and information. Women are sent the plain cotton dolls to decorate and asked to write a short note explaining how the dolls represent their feelings. The dolls then come back to the collection and travel the US and Canada. This project gives women a safe way to voice their feelings about how HIV has affected their lives while the dolls travel and educate the public about HIV/AIDS.  Gloria was asked to design the logo for the project.
